News from E3 2019 Part 2

In the previous article, we’ve talked mainly about Nintendo and CD Projekt Red’s announcements on E3 2019, and for good reason. Those two game companies have shown us that single player games still have a place in the online gaming time we live in today. Today, however, we’ll be covering the other games that have been announced on E3, most of which were a bit of a surprise for the fans.

E3 Minecraft Dungeons

Microsoft has also made some pretty nice announcements this year. We got a release window for Halo Infinite for Xbox Project Scarlett, Gears 5 trailer, Blair Witch trailer with some gameplay, and Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga announcement for Xbox One and PC. However, something unexpected happened during Microsoft’s presentation. You may know that Microsoft owns Minecraft now. Well, they announced something called Minecraft Dungeons. That’s basically a Diablo 3 style isometric dungeon crawler game. From what we’ve seen during the presentation, the game looks amazing so far. It tries, and succeeds in keeping Minecraft’s graphics, but adds some cool looking effects and character stats. In addition, there’s a new version of Microsoft Flight Simulator for PC and Xbox.

Deathloop by Bethesda

We’ve come to expect great things from Bethesda these past few years. And this time, they haven’t disappointed either. Some of the titles they’ve announced look great so far. We were shown a trailer for Deathloop. If you ask me, the game kind of reminds of Bioshock Infinite, at least from the trailer. But still, it looks amazing and it seems like it will be very well paced for single player experience. Some of the other Bethesda titles shown are The Elder Scrolls: Blades, Fallout 76: Nuclear Winter, Ghostwire: Tokyo, Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot, and Commander Keen.

Ubisoft’s For Honor

Ubisoft had a great presentation on E3, and the titles they have announced look great so far. However, it is still uncertain whether the games will look and feel like they did in trailers. We finally got The Division 2 we’ve been waiting for for so long. For Honor is coming to Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is getting a large update, and Watch Dogs Legion has had its gameplay shown.

All in all, we’ve had another great E3 this year. Lots of new titles and sequels and something new to look forward to for the next couple of years!

News from E3 2019 Part 1

If you’re an avid gamer like myself, you have probably watched the E3 live streams these past few days. And just like every year, we got to see a bunch of great games from different developers. E3 never ceases to amaze us with their new announcements and presentations. This year was no different, in fact, this year we got to see some of the best games ever, in my opinion. Well, without further ado, let’s jump right into it.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2

As always, Nintendo came out with some great games on E3. Their presentations were the best we’ve seen this year, aside from Cyberpunk 2077, of course, but we’ll get to that. When we heard about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild a few years back, along with the Nintendo Switch release, the fans went absolutely wild. And this year was no exception. Nintendo has brought us a sequel to Breath of The Wild along with a new trailer.

We also got to see trailers for Luigi’s Mansion 3, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Super Mario Maker 2, and Astrail Chain. A couple of other games that were announced, but still remain without a trailer are The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, Resident Evil 5, and Resident Evil 6.

Take-Two Interactive

Finally, we got to take a deeper look into Borderlands 3, a long awaited sequel for this absolutely amazing franchise.

Electronic Arts

Nothing brand new from EA this year, to be honest. I think that at this point nobody is expecting anything special from EA anymore, after the whole drama with the Battlefront last year. But nevertheless, we got to see Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Apex Legends Season 2, Battlefield 5: Chapter 4, The Sims 4 Island Living, FIFA 20, and Madden 20.

CD Projekt Red

Keanu Reeves in Cyberpunk 2077

Now, let’s get into the really good stuff. After The Witcher 3’s INSANE success in 2015, the fans have been patiently waiting for a new game by CD Projekt Red, and this year, we finally got to see more of it. Cyberpunk 2077 is looking amazing so far, with its neon-like cyberpunk style and insanely immersive gameplay. The trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 features the star of John Wick movie franchise, Keanu Reeves. The fans have gone insane since the trailer debut and most of us can’t wait for the game to come out! In addition to Cyberpunk 2077, we’re getting The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt complete edition.

Mixed Gaming University Event

Well, it was only a matter of time before we organized something like this. If you’ve attended our previous events at universities, be sure not to miss this one. The University Network Gaming Society is bringing PCs, consoles, handheld consoles at Your University.

So what exactly does “mixed gaming” mean?

We all like gaming, right? Be it old tabletop and board games or video games, there’s something for everyone. Even if you’re not a fan of video games I’m sure we’ll have something you’ll enjoy. We want this to be our biggest event so far, so buckle up. Organized at Your University, we are bringing all sorts of PCs, peripherals, consoles and handheld devices for everyone. We will have thousands of different games of different genres for you to try out. Think RPG, RTS, FPS, MMORPG, ARPG, and many many more. Our PCs are up to date with the newest hardware for the best possible experience. In addition, we want to put together all of our gaming machines in one huge room and have everyone interact with each other. You can play co-op games with your friends, compete in PVP games, organize tournaments by yourselves and such.

E3 Gaming Convention

There will also be a separate “chill zone” with consoles and handheld gaming machines. We’re bringing XBOX One, XBOX 360, PlayStation 3 & 4, Nintendo Switch and more. From FPS games like Halo and Call of Duty, over sports games like FIFA, PES, and NBA, to RPGs like Legends of Zelda and Witcher 3, you’ll be sure to find something you enjoy. This will be a slightly smaller event in comparison to the main PC event, as we have fewer consoles. But worry not, this is also a 2-day event, so there’s enough time for everyone to experience everything we have in store for you! If you want, though, you can bring your own consoles and controllers, and join in whenever you want! Maybe someone can even help you with that level you’ve been stuck on for some time, you never know. In addition, we will be holding booths with cool gaming gear you can buy and bring home, including gaming consoles!

This is one-of-a-kind event and you really don’t want to miss it if you enjoy video games. Everyone is welcome, so bring your friends. We’re looking forward to seeing you there very soon and play some games together!

Street Fighter 5 University Tournament

I bet that at some point in your life, you sat down with your friends and played fighting games like Mortal Kombat, Tekken and such. Am I right? These games used to make my friends and I completely forget about what time it is. Oh just how many times we were late for school because we were playing Mortal Kombat. But today, we’ll be talking about Street Fighter. The University Network Gaming Society is proud to organize the Street Fighter 5 tournament at Your University.

If you’ve never played Street Fighter, here’s what it’s all about

Street Fighter is a franchise of fighting video games developed and published by Capcom. The first game was released all the way back in 1987, followed by five main games and numerous spin-offs and crossovers. I’ve no need to talk about fighting games, as you probably know what it is. On the off chance that you don’t, I’ll be brief. It’s a video game that pits two players against each other in an MMA-like combat style with the goal of defeating your opponent. In addition, players also have access to special abilities with high damage that can be used against their opponent.

Street Fighter was one of the most popular eSports games. The tournaments and events were held constantly in the past. Recently the game popularity has unfortunately dwindled. However, tournaments are still held from time to time and the game lives on.

Details about our tournament

This time, we wanted to make a bigger tournament for more players. So we decided to have a total of 50 players, in 1 versus 1 brackets. Each match will consist of 3 games. Single elimination format, winner moves on. In other words, you lose one match, you’re out. Maps are selected randomly. However, the twist is that there is no time limit on games. The winner will receive exclusive Street Fighter gaming peripherals and gear, including a PC case. The two runner-ups will be rewarded with mousepads. In conclusion, start practicing if you want to win cool rewards!
